GREAT (Genome REgulatory Architecture Tools) is an "umbrella" term for a computational schema which relates genome layout and folding to transcriptional control. It is currently under development and is divided in two parts, GREAT:SCAN and GREAT:CAD, aiming respectively at analyzing periodic patterns along genomes and at improving genome engineering by using positional information. For more specific information about the tools (usage, references, etc.), please take a look at the documentation.
The GREAT portal web application is powered by Flask, JavaScript (Highcharts, D3.js, jQuery) and Bootstrap. The web tools are benefiting from the computing resources of the iSSB abSYNTH synthetic biology platform.
